Date information from my parents. 1891 Census records his place of birth as Wells Next The Sea. 1939 Register says he was born 7th not 5th January 1883. 853 No record of his death in New Zealand online death register 1929-1980. No record of his death in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) for the same period. ACT is enclave within New South Wales and includes capital Canberra. No death in Northern Australia (searched via Find My Past. No death in Western Australia to 1971 (last searchable date) when he would have been 95. No death in Canberra, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia or Victoria.
Tasmania records cannot be searched online. New Zealand and Australia have detroyed their census records.

854 No record of Joseph in 1871 Census. Copy certificate issued 27 October 2010 for his death. Believed to be the correct person as his address matches that for the 1861 Census. Aged 64 a farm labourer. The informant was Mary Everett of Slate Cottages Wethersfield who made her mark. It is not known what relationship if any there was between Joseph and the informant. 887 Possibly one of last taken off Dunkirk. My cousin, his son, has a newspaper cutting which mentions a Robert Walker of the DLI (Durham Light Infantry missing in the Middle East. He believes that his father worked in salt mines in Czechoslovakia as a prisoner of war. My father, Robert's brother said he was a POW twice and worked in the mines. Walker, Robert (I10)
