  	Free BMD has an entry Ref. Volume 10A Page 27 showing Mary Ellen aged 9. but in the first quarter of 1870 so did they forget to register the death when it occurred? Obtained confirmation from the registrar at Bishop Auckland who now hold the register that she died on 27 May 1869 but her death was not registered until 28 February 1870. The registrar said there were other deaths registered in early 1870 for deaths in 1869.

  	Burial Register seen on 18 October 2007 at Durham Records Office. Entry 642 on page 78. I recorded the date as 29 May 1869. It is possible that I saw 1869 on the heading of the page but did not notice a year change lower down the page. Believed to be in burial plot P28 with parents.
