His described as a Carrier. Hers described as a Miner. Edward's age is 33 and Maria's age is 26. Maria's age does not tie in with her age in the 1871 Census, so either certificate is for wrong couple or Maria was overstating her age. The various censuses ages do tie in with her date of birth.

On the same day Eleanor Hopwood my 1st cousin 2 x removed married James Acon. I suspect that the marriage took place at the same churchm possible on the same day.
